This project will use an EEG to differentiate brain response to given stimuli between deaf and CODA (children of deaf adults) participants. This project is simple in nature, we will administer two tests: one in ASL and one in English, while the participant is wearing the EEG. We will then analyze and compare the data between the two groups.
Unfortunately, we were unable to locate an EEG machine and find someone who could help us analyze the data that would be derived from the tests. We will continue searching for the right fit for this research, because at the present moment we don’t have a faculty member that wants to dedicate their time and resources to help with this endeavor it has made running the tests impossible. We have the participants ready but are unable to find the right machinery which made the research project get delayed. We hope to continue our search for a qualified faculty and an EEG machine so that the research can get underway and results can be derived.
